Choosing a School in Plymouth

Plymouth has two selective grammar schools - Devonport High School for Boys and Devonport High School for Girls - both rated Outstanding and highly competitive. Entry is via the Plymouth 11+ test taken in September of Year 6. Popular family areas include Plymstock (strong primaries, feeds into good secondaries), Peverell and Mannamead (close to the grammars), and Plympton to the east. Plymouth City Council handles admissions for non-selective schools.
