Split the UK between your depots, reps or franchises by postcode. There's no signup and no trial wall to work around: the tool is free to use from the first load, not free until a limit or a timer runs out.
Territory mapping that tells you the truth
Every territory stays in one connected piece as drawn, not scattered fragments joined only on a spreadsheet. If an equal population split isn't achievable from your bases, the tool reports the shortfall and shows the closest honest split instead of pretending one exists. If a manual edit would disconnect a territory, you get a warning at the point you make it, and the choice stays yours.
Balance territories by population or reach
Split by nearest base for the simplest starting point, by population to keep territory sizes fair, or by reach to cap how far any one territory extends beyond a base. Set reach as a straight-line radius from each base to match the way your territories actually need to work.
Export territories to CSV, GeoJSON or KML
Every export carries its own provenance. Sectors you've reassigned by hand are marked as manual, separately from sectors the solver placed and any you've locked in place, so a spreadsheet can filter your own decisions from the solver's without cross-referencing anything else.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this and the Postcode Mapper?
The Postcode Mapper plots a list of postcodes on a map. The Territory Mapper divides the UK between your bases and lets you edit the result.
Can I colour a postcode map into territories?
Yes. Every postcode sector on the map is filled with a distinct colour for its territory, and a colourblind-safe palette is available. Reassign any sector by hand if you disagree with the automatic split and its colour updates immediately. This colours postcodes by territory membership, not by a data value like sales or population.
Can territories be balanced by population?
Yes. If an equal split is not achievable from your base locations, the tool says so and shows the closest split that keeps every territory connected.
Why is a sector in a territory I did not expect?
Some boundaries are decided by very small margins. Click any sector to see its distance to each base, and reassign it if you know better.
Are islands included?
Scottish islands and the Isle of Wight are included. The Isle of Man and Channel Islands have no location data in this tool and it says so rather than guessing. Northern Ireland is not covered.
